We have noticed that majority of battery issues are solved by following some simple steps to improve the use efficiency of the battery. Here is a guide offered by Revibe. We would recommend following some steps below to improve your battery health first. Even if we replace the battery with a new one, you will still face the same issue if you don’t go through these steps:
1. Try shutting down battery intensive apps first To see which apps draw the most power, start the Settings app and then tap Battery. Scroll down to the list of apps, and you can see which ones are running your battery down the fastest. Note that you can see the battery usage just within the Last 24 Hours or over the Last 10 Days using the tabs above the graphs Once you find the guilty app for which your iPhone battery drains quickly, you can update the app as a first step. If the app still causes problems, you can eventually remove it. You can always re-download these apps at a later date if you find that these apps are not responsible for your iPhone battery drain issue.
2. Charge the device properly Avoid extreme ambient temperatures which can permanently damage battery capacity; Remove your device from its case during charging. If you charge your device when it’s inside its case it may generate excess heat, which can affect battery capacity
3. Try enabling ‘Low Power Mode’ This will greatly increase your iPhone battery life. To enable this, go to settings > tap Battery > toggle the switch next to ‘Low Power Mode’ to turn it on.
4. Turn off ‘Raise to Wake’ To do this, go to Settings > tap Display & Brightness > toggle the switch next to ‘Raise to Wake’ to turn it off.
5. Update apps (including iOS updates) To update apps, open App Store > Tap ‘Updates’ at the bottom right of the screen > Tap ‘Update All’ in the upper right corner.
6. Try turning off ‘Background App Refresh’ To turn it off go to Settings> General> Background App Refresh> Toggle ‘Background App Refresh’ to the off position
7. Try disabling ‘Location Services’ To turn it off go to Settings > tap Privacy > tap Location Services > toggle the switch next to ‘Location Services’ to the off position
8. Try turning off ‘vibration’ To turn off vibration go to Settings > Sounds > turn off ‘Vibrate on Rings’ and ‘Vibrate on Silent’.
9. Try turning off WiFi when not in use If you do not turn off WiFi when you are not connected to a WiFi network it makes the WiFi of your iPhone or iPad hunt around for WiFi networks it could join. This will obviously consume battery power. Therefore, when you are not using WiFi you should turn it off to stop unnecessary iPhone battery drain. To do this go to Settings > tap WiFi > toggle WiFi to off position. 10. Try updating your apps You don't have to uninstall or stop using an app just because it's drawing a lot of power. In some cases, apps may perform better if they're up to date. In other words, un-updated apps can be a drain on your battery. To make sure you're up to date, start the App Store app and tap your account icon at the top right. If any apps need updating, tap Update All in the Pending Updates section.
