“Invalid SIM” or “No SIM” Alert on Your iPhone or iPad?

If your device shows an “Invalid SIM” or “No SIM” alert, don’t worry — here’s how to fix it step by step:

Step 1: Check Your SIM Card

Make sure your SIM card is activated and working.
Test it in another phone if possible to confirm it’s functional.

Step 2: Update iOS

Ensure your device is running the latest version of iOS.
Go to: Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.

Step 3: Restart Your Device

A simple restart often fixes minor glitches.
Follow Apple’s guide here: Restart your iPhone or iPad.

Step 4: Update Carrier Settings

Carrier settings updates improve network connectivity.
Go to Settings > General > About.
If an update is available, you’ll see a prompt to select OK or Update.

Step 5: Check SIM Card Placement

Make sure your SIM card is correctly inserted into the SIM tray.

Step 6: Test With Another SIM

Try using a different SIM card.
If you don’t have one, visit your carrier’s retail store to test your device with another SIM.
You may need to replace your SIM card if it’s damaged or incompatible.

If the issue persists, contact your carrier for further assistance or visit a local store to get a new SIM card.
